For two years I was a design engineer at TEECOM in Oakland, where I helped end users, architects, and general contractors build audiovisual systems for collaboration spaces in new construction and renovations. Below are a few examples of the projects that I significantly contributed to.
HPE Executive Briefing Center, Global HQ, and Plano, TX campus
Needs assessment, system design, development of construction documents (drawings and specifications) and construction administration for audiovisual systems servicing a newly constructed global corporate headquarters, executive briefing center, and a newly constructed call center in Plano, TX.
- Spaces: Immersive Theater, Executive Boardroom, CEO office, All Hands, executive briefing rooms, VIP lounges, technology museum, AV operations center, break rooms, cafes, S/M/L/XL conference rooms, and huddle spaces.
- Technologies: Large format direct view LED videowalls, transparent LED displays, video processing/matrixing, control systems with touchscreens, audio and video conferencing with beamforming microphones, multiple cameras and shared local content.
Blue Shield California, Oakland HQ
Needs assessment, system design, development of construction documents (drawings and specifications) and construction administration for audiovisual systems servicing a newly constructed corporate headquarters.
- Spaces: Executive Boardroom, lobby videowall, training centers, broadcast studio, VIP offices, fitness center, S/M/L/XL conference rooms, and huddle spaces.
- Technologies: Large format direct view LED videowalls, broadcast and post production control room, IPTV, control systems, audio and video conferencing, wireless microphones and video presentation.
SFO International Terminal
System design and development of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for an emergency mass notification paging system. Extended construction administration, coordination with end users, subcontractors and architect.
- Spaces: Security Screen Check Points (SSCP), restrooms, and post security recompose areas for international terminals A and G.
- Technologies: Distributed audio over IP networks, redundant amplification with fail-over and end of line monitoring. Background music with priority interrupt, integration with fire alarm system, full compliance with local life safety regulations including NFPA72.
